Abstract

Background and aim: Alopecia canal (AA) is a specific autoimmune disorder characterized by T-cell infiltration and cytokine production around the hair follicles located at the Anagen stage. The most important histological characteristic of the alopecia are the follicular periosteum lymphocyte infiltration around the anagenoid baldness, which is often composed of T4-type CD4 + cells. Regarding the role of active25 hydroxyvitamin D3 and active hydroxy-vitamin D3 receptors in the autoimmune and the hair cycle, the active ingredient hydroxy-vitamin D3 deficiency may appear to be involved in alopecia areata, which is an autoimmune disease of the hair follicle. . The purpose of this study was to evaluate the status of active hydroxyvitamin D3 in patients with alopecia areata. Methodology: This is a case-control study based on a hospital-based approach. The sample size of the present study will be a total of 80 people who will be examined with the same ratio in case group (40) and control (40 people). People in the case group will be from patients with alopecia, so that they will be diagnosed with a diagnosis of the disease on the basis of clinical symptoms, taking history and rejecting other causes of hair loss, and with the diagnosis of dermatologist and hair and dermatologist. Vasei Hospital in Sabzevar or the private clinic of the dermatologist and dermatologist will be selected from patients aged over 18. Findings : Comparison of active25- hydroxyvitamin D3 serum levels in case and control groups showed that among 40 patients 5 patients (12.5%) had normal serum levels of 25 hydroxyvitamin D3 and 35 (87.5%) levels of vitamin D3 had abnormal activity. Among the control group, 12 (30%) had active N-reactive vitamin D3 and 28 (70%) had abnormal levels of active vitamin D3. Based on the P value obtained from chi 2, the relationship between the two groups is significant (P = 0.049( Conclusion : Reducing the serum level of active25- hydroxyvitamin D3 in patients was significantly higher than the normal population, which could be considered in the treatment of these patients.
