Abstract
The effect of reflective massage on nasue and vomiting after laparoscopic cholecystectomy Abstract: Postoperative nausea and vomiting is a common complication. incidence of this complication in laparoscopic surgery is 40 to 75 percent . Due to postoperative serious consequences of nausea and vomiting,different methods used to control it. Foot reflective massage is a non-invasive, safe,without side effects, easy-to-implement, cost-effective and simple technique in the treatment of many diseases. Methods: The study isĺ a randomized clinical trial. In this study, 60 patients undergoing laparoscopic cholecystectomy were randomly divided into two groups.The control group recived conventional drug therapy for nausea and vomiting.For the case group booth foot reflective massage have done for 10 minutes. The two groups were evaluated using independent t tests, chi-square and ANOVA statistical analysis was performed. The Results: The two groups regarding demographic characteristics including age, gender, body mass index, duration of anesthesia had no significant diffrence, while the nausea and vomiting showed significant diffrence between the two groups. Conclusion:Reflective foot massaage beside other conventional methoods for control of post operative nausea and vomiting is effective and can apply by trained nurses Key words: nausea ،vomiting، reflective foot massage، post operative laparoscopic cholecystectomy
