Aim: The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of assertiveness in promoting assertiveness skills Nurses Sabzevar. Method: The research was carried out functional and experimental design. The research sample included 60 nurses from vasei hospital that were selected using Stratified random sampling. Then were placed in the intervention and control groups. Assertiveness skills level were measured with Bar- On assertiveness questionnaire in both groups before and 50 days after intervention. The data were analyzed by chi-square tests, Fisher exact test, t test and Mann-Whitney U.Results: Results showed that after the intervention, there was significant difference between the mean scores for assertiveness (23.3±2.8) in the intervention group (p= 0.0001). Conclusion: The results showed that the effect of holding workshops in assertiveness skills training programs to improve the skills of nurses assertive behavior. It is recommended that the use of assertiveness skills training courses for in-service training program for nurses.
