Abstract

Introduction: Oral health as an integral part of nursing focus is in the intensive care unit. Its primary purpose is to improve oral health and clooney reduce oropharyngeal and dental plaque created by aspiration of saliva and bacteria containing the colony.The purpose of this study the effect of chlorhexidine and daisies on the incidence of oral lesions in patients admitted to the ICU in Hashemi Nejad Hospital in Mashhad. Materials and methods: This study is a randomaized clinical trial. The subjects in this study newly admitted patients intubated in the ICU in 1395. In this study, 70 patients were divided in two groups oral care with chlorhexidine mouth rinse and mouthwash matrica. Collecting data using demographic information list, register lists mouth and MPS. Data were analyzed by spss 16 and Fisher tests, Friedman and Mann-Whitney tests. Results: Patients in chlorhexidine group, and chamomile group the same traits such as age, sex, drugs and homogeneous level of consciousness(p>0/005). Chlorhexidine, and chamomile are effective in the prevention and improvement of oral lesions but chlorhexidine effect is faster on oral hygiene. Discussion: Two mouthwash in oral lesions improve and control dental plaque help patients due to the benefits of herbal mouthwash can use it as a substitute for the advice.
