Abstract
The effect of partnership care model on the quality of sleep in patients with heart failure Abstract Background and purpose: Heart failure is a common and life-threatening situation. These patients have a poor quality sleep. The improved quality of sleep, self-care education in nursing by the model, thus the partnership care model to study the effect of sleep quality in patients with heart failure were studied. Materials and Methods: An experimental study (randomized controlled trials) are performed on 102 patients with chronic stable heart failure hospitalization was Vasei hospital in Sabzevar 2014. Patients were randomly assigned to two groups. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Scale was used to assess sleep quality. Intervention, the implementation of partnership care models in the test group was run for three months, based on partnership care model Data analysis using descriptive and inferential statistical methods (chi-square, McNemar ,Mann-Whitney U, analysis of covariance & Multilevel Logistic Regression) with SPSS (Version 11.5 ) & SAS (Version 9.1 ) Softwares was performed (95% CI). Results: The results showed that the two groups before the intervention, the mean score of sleep quality, sleep quality scores were similar between the two groups was not statistically significant, But after an intervention Mean ± SD of sleep quality was 9.02±4.03 & 4.43±2.89 and by Mann-Whitney U between the two groups in scores Sleep significant differences were shown (p=0.001). Conclusion: Implementation of a partnership care model is effective in increasing the quality of sleep in patients with heart failure. propose to implement this model of care in patients with choronic disease as well as other tests and can be used on them Keywords: Partnership Practice, care, models nursing, heart failure, sleep, patients
