Abstract

Title: The study of the prevalence of nosocomial infection & effective factors in Sabzevar Vasee hospital duration 2009-2013 Background and Purpose: Nosocomial infections is one of the major problems of health care and increasing drug resistance and increase mortality and morbidity rates.Given the need for hospital infection control and failure to report accurate statistics of nosocomial infection and the increasing prevalence of nosocomial infection and its importance due to rising costs, Long recovery time, disability and mortality, incidence, and risk factors of nosocomial infections in hospitals during the years 1388-1392 Vasei city of Sabzevar was examined. methods: This cross-sectional study sample consisted of 89429 patients admitted to the hospital on file Vasei city of Sabzevar was conducted during the years 1388-1392, the results of using the software SPSS version 22 statistical analysis was performed. Results: According to this study of 89429 patients, 1046 patients were nosocomial infection (1.2%). The most common type of infection, upper respiratory tract infection (44%) were calculated. The percentage of nosocomial infections in general more men than women, but there was no significant relationship. Most of nosocomial infection in the ICU, the most common microorganism, Staphylococcus coagulase-negative and gram-negative bacilli and most common invasive procedure used was Kattrvrydy. But there was no significant relationship between these variables and nosocomial infections. The relationship between respiratory infections and length of stay (P value= 0.03) and a significant correlation between blood infection and length of stay (P value = 0.01) was observed. Conclusion: The incidence of nosocomial infections is much lower than standard announced.The results of our research to the importance of closer examination and standardization of hospital infection reporting by hospitals and bug fixes available with lead.
