Abstract

Comparatively assessment effect of education in the OREMs self care model way with current method on the quality of life diabetic type 2 patients Introduction: By attending to the high prevalent of effects and low level the quality of life in the diabetic patient by knowing of minimal knowledge in the diabetics, discovering an appropriate educational method was important. Purpose of this study was comparatively assessment effect of education in the OREMs self care model way with current method on the quality of life diabetic type 2 patients. Methods: this study was done on the base of randomized clinical trial method at the patient with diabetic type 2 referrals to diabetic clinics of Sabzevar city at the year of 2013.control group were under the current education of to the form of lectures, Question & Response, group discussion, films and educational notes was lying. One month after of ending education all of research units make do special quality of life in diabetics ( ADD QOL 19) was assessed. Data s was added by SPSS software and kai - square , man withney , co-variances and logstices regression exams were analyzed. Results: at this study 50/7% (38 person) were women and 49/3 (37 person) were men. After the educational implementation, mean and SD score of QOL in the control and case groups at the physical dimension were -1/48 +- 0/71 and 1/81 +- 0/93, in the psycho spiritual dimension scores were -1/9 +- 0/64 and 2/22 +- 0/77 and in social dimension scores were -1/48+- 0/71 and 1/85 +-0/931. In contrast of mean scores of QOL of two groups after the educational implementation in the co-variances exam meaningful differences were seen. Conclusion: Education plan of OREMs model relation to the current method, QOL of diabetics was extolled, and if education plan to the way of OREMs method was designed, to the betterment of QOL patients with DM type 2 was effectiveness.
