Abstract
Introduction: Brucellosis is a common disease in humans and livestock with a global spread that appears as a systematic disease that early detection prevents further complications. Therefore, the aim of this study was to determine the radiological findings of patients with brucella spondylodiscitis referring to hospitals in Sabzevar city from 88 to 96 years. Materials and Method: This study was performed on 318 patients with Brucella. After recording demographic data, radiological findings were recorded for each patient in order to investigate Brucella spondylodiscitis. Chi-square, Tstudent and ANOVA tests were used to compare the data. Results: Our study showed that out of 318 patients, 29 (9.1%) had brucella spondylodiscitis, and most of the patients had lumbric involvement (85.7%) and most of the patients had L4-L5 involvement (4 / 46%) and most patients had spinal stenosis (71.4%). Also, Brucella spondylodiscitis was more common in older patients with COPD and MDD than other people. (P <0.05) Conclusion: Considering the high incidence of brucella spondylodiscitis in patients with brucella, the preventive measures in patients with higher risk, especially elderly patients with a history of respiratory diseases, should be investigated in order to reduce the complications.
